Ancestors. They’re a lynch pin in my personal life. My relationship with myself and with others involves active relationships with my ancestors and in both my family by adoption and my family by birth. Yes, I mean the ones whose names I know, or could know. But I also mean the ancient ones filled with compassion, ancestors by blood and by family culture who lived before whatever twists and turns our heritage may have taken on its way to here and now. I believe they’re still present and willing to aid, support and nurture our hopes and dreams. After all, we’re their future dreams coming true.
